Yellow fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease that occurs in tropical and subtropical areas of Africa and South America only. Althought there is, at present, no cure for the fever there is a successful vaccine. There has been a marked resurgence of yellow fever in areas of Central and South America and Africa since the 1980s.
Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease. People with malaria often experience fever, chills, and flu-like illness. Left untreated, they may develop severe complications and die. Each year between 350-500 million cases of malaria occur worldwide, causing 2 million fatalities.
Although Yellow Fever is the only WHO mandated vaccine we advise, when travelling to certain areas, that you protect yourself accordingly. (Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Polio, Rabies, Tetanus, Japanese Encephalitis, Cholera, Meningitis)
